Your child has access to some fantastic after-school clubs at Shawlands!
At Shawlands, we believe that learning and personal development extend beyond the classroom. After-school clubs play an important role in supporting children's physical, social and emotional wellbeing, while providing exciting opportunities to explore new interests, develop talents and build confidence.
Building confidence and self-esteem – Children can try new activities, discover hidden talents and feel proud of their achievements.
Developing friendships and social skills – Clubs provide opportunities to meet new friends, work as a team, communicate and develop positive relationships.
Supporting physical and mental wellbeing – Sports, dance and creative activities encourage children to stay active, express themselves and enjoy time away from academic pressures.
Encouraging new interests and skills – Children can explore hobbies and experiences they may not otherwise have access to.
Developing resilience and independence – Learning new skills encourages children to persevere, overcome challenges and become more confident individuals.
Promoting a sense of belonging – Being part of a club helps children feel connected to their school community and creates positive experiences beyond the classroom.
We encourage all children to make the most of these wonderful opportunities, have fun and try something new!
Club times: All clubs will run from 3:30pm to 4:30pm unless you are informed otherwise.

As a school, we are always looking for new and exciting clubs and activities to offer our pupils. We recognise that providing a wide range of opportunities helps children discover their passions, develop important life skills and enjoy a rich and varied school experience.
We would love to hear from individuals, parents, carers or organisations who may be interested in supporting or delivering an after-school club.
Together, we can continue to provide enriching experiences that help every child at Shawlands learn, grow and thrive!
